Get ready for a one-of-a-kind welcome experience! We’re inviting new and returning students to join us at the Welcome Festival hosted by ÉëÒ÷Ö®Íõ and De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU) from Saturday 21 September to Sunday 6 October. Here are some of the highlights:
Tuesday 24 September
There will be an all-faculty low-sensory welcome for new students with a disability or mental health condition between 3.30–4.30pm (online). This includes an introduction to the library, student welfare and IT. The link to join will be in your induction timetable.
Tuesday 24 – Thursday 26 September
Join us for three days of excitement at the Welcome Fair, brought to you by DSU and ÉëÒ÷Ö®Íõ. Meet and mingle with student societies and sports clubs, grab freebies, enter competitions and get massive discounts from your favourite brands.
Thursday 26 September
Between 10am–4pm, there will be information stands in the Campus Centre where you can learn more about how to access our student support services including Mental Health, Wellbeing and Disability Advice and Support teams.
Whatever your journey is at ÉëÒ÷Ö®Íõ, whether you are an apprentice, undergraduate or postgraduate student, we want you to reach your full potential.

Cycling to campus? Get a free bike check during ÉëÒ÷Ö®Íõ's Welcome Festival on Thursday 26 September outside the Food Village! Drop-in any time between 10am and midday, or between midday and 2pm (places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis).
Friday 27 September
For our new students, join Vice-Chancellor Professor Kate Normington and your Faculty Dean/Deputy Dean (at The Venue) for a welcome to the university and an introduction to the Library and IT, Student Welfare, ÉëÒ÷Ö®Íõ Careers and ÉëÒ÷Ö®Íõ Global.
- Art, Design and Humanities, 10–11am
- Computing, Engineering and Media, 11.30am–12.30pm
- Business and Law, 1–2pm
- Health and Life Sciences, 2.30–3.30pm.
Sunday 29 September
Join us for Reroll Games Night between 6–9pm at LVL1. The perfect event to socialise, make new friends and try lots of board games. With more than 30 different games available there’s something for everyone.
