Paid placement opportunities available through new ACE Internship scheme


Looking for ways to bolster your CV, earn some money and get real-world experience? Well, ÉëÒ÷Ö®Íõ’s new Accelerated Career Enhancement (ACE) Internship scheme may just be for you.

ACE Internships

Created by ÉëÒ÷Ö®Íõ’s award-winning Careers Team, the scheme offers students the opportunity to gain six weeks of paid work experience in the summer of 2024.

There are more than 100 hybrid, on-site and remote ACE Internship roles across a range of disciples at businesses based in the Midlands, including Leicester Riders, Leicester City Council and right here at ÉëÒ÷Ö®Íõ.

Although temporary, these opportunities will enable you to build further employability skills, expand your contacts and experience within your chosen industry, and may even lead to longer-term roles within your host companies afterwards.

Who is eligible?

Any undergraduate student from across the university’s four faculties is eligible to apply.

Please note, to apply you must have attended one of the ACE Internship Briefing Sessions, which are available to .

What will the internship involve?

A job description for every role will be available to view online before you apply.

The ACE Internship will last for 111 hours across six weeks between June and July 2024. While working, you will be paid £10.90 per hour.

Key dates

•             Adverts close: Thursday 14 December 2023

•             Interviews: January 2024 onwards

•             Internship start date: w/c Monday 17 June 2024

•             Internship end date: w/e Friday 26 July 2024

The internship start and end dates are non-negotiable.
